Your Japanese vocabulary of the day: 同族嫌悪 / 同属嫌悪 [douzoku ken’o]
Meaning: the hatred of someone similar / from a similar background
Examples: As a Montague yourself, you hate other Montagues. (family/lineage) / As a noble yourself, you hate other nobles. (social class) / As a woman yourself, you hate other women. (gender) / As an American yourself, you hate other Americans. (nationality) / As a crafty person yourself, you hate other crafty people. (personality) / etc.
(Is there an English equivalent of this word? Nothing comes to my mind.)

its like double standards you hate others for doing/being something that you do/are.

Douzoku ken’o is more about self-loathing and understanding why one hates others (as they are similar to oneself). A hypocrite is more about not being able one’s own faults while being critical of the same ones in others. There’s a lack of self-awareness or desire to act upon it in hypocrites you don’t find in instances of douzoku ken’o.
